Underfoot / Debajo de Los Pies

Do you feel the thunder
Deep in your bones?
Is the Earth your mother
Or just your home?

Blades of grass
Firmly grasped
Do you feel the wonder?
Once asleep, left alone
Is the Earth where you live
Or why?
Mere rock and stone?
Horizon meeting sky?

Dig your hands
In soil deep
Feel life
In grains of sand
Realize
The sky
Will weep
The wind
Will sweep
Your planet
Does not sleep
It is Quartz
Obsidian
And granite
With a pulse
Felt best
In moments short
At rest.

¿Te sientes el trueno
¿En los huesos?
La tierra es tu madre
¿O simplemente su hogar?

Láminas de la hierba
Firmemente agarrado
¿Te sientes la maravilla?
Una vez dormido, dejen en paz
Es la tierra donde vives
O por qué?
¿Mera roca y piedra?
¿Cielo reunión horizonte?

Cavar las manos
En el suelo profundo
Sentir la vida
En granos de arena
Cuenta
El cielo
Llorarán
El viento
Barrerá
Su planeta
No duerme
Es cuarzo
Obsidiana
Y granito
Con un pulso
Sentía mejor
En pocos momentos
En el resto.
