The last few weeks I have really gotten into Instagram. Photography is a big hobby of mine and being able to change them into even better pieces is so addicting. Some of you I already follow and have really enjoyed your posts.
I sometimes leave comments on your shots, but often chicken out. As I get braver, I will comment more on your pictures so I hope you don't mind. And you are always welcome to follow mine here @shamuboo and comment to your litte heart's desire. You know how I love comments :)

ReplyIt baffled me until I tried it. For using it, you need to have it on a smartphone and upload pictures from your phone to it. When uploading, it allows you to run the shot through several different types of filters to try and highlight whatever parts of the pic look coolest. Very addictive and alot of fun for any shutterbugs like me.

it can happen that i sit on the couch for hours and hours, checking instagram and searching for great new accounts^^
so it's somekind of addiction i guess :-P

Yes, but the idea is to capture the immediacy of whatever you shoot and then to transform that reality by adding a new way to view it. photoshop is for pasting dog heads onto pictures of your exes.

ReplyI think that being on Instagram allows you to open yourself up and learn that it could be quite a fun community, full of admiring people's photos, full of love, liking and following and returning the likes back. It really is a generous community.
ReplyI'm so glad that you jumped on the Instagram bandwagon. I was busy for a while and neglected my blog quite a bit but continued to connect with some blogger friends on Instagram. And now Instagram allowed me to connect back to you. I usually interact only with blogger friends who have 2-way communication and with the demise of Google Reader, I don't think I would really click to much on current followers and followees blogs if they hadn't left me comment for me to interact with. Hence, I'm really glad you stopped by my instagram page. Your name and profile pic are so familiar that I had to ask if we knew each other from blogger.

ReplyI am really enjoying I-gram so far. So much so I gave it that cool nickname. Had a few people follow me from here (but not as many as I thought, its weird but OK) and then some just appear out of nowhere which is cool too. I am trying to be bolder and more open with my comments as I previously have held back and wimped out.
