You judge me?
Due to your laziness
And happiness in your ignorance
No attempt to comprehension
Or empathy.
I thank you
For removing me of once presumed burdens
That your feelings
Or you
Should matter.
For removing me of once presumed burdens
That your feelings
Or you
Should matter.
Your unsupportable attitudes
Have bought me priceless freedom.
Have bought me priceless freedom.
Your oblivious, poison adherence
To destructive, repugnant fear
Leave you shallow
And hollow
And so you wallow
In muck and dung
Doing all you can
To trip
Push
Humiliate
Bully
Others to lay down beside you.
I see your secret shame
Your pain.
A pain I would take joy in helping soothe
Help remove
If only you loved truth
And yourself
More than the wretched filth of phantom phobias
You now call home.
Bends only the weakest of saplings.
Shakes the roots of redwoods.

Tulis commentsI used to be so desperate for friends that I allowed people like you describe in this poem to stay in my life and hurt me. I finally realized that I don't need them. I'm glad you did too. Nobody needs such individuals.
ReplyI have know the feeling for the longest time! A beautiful, thought provoking poem.
ReplyWow. very deep :)
ReplyThank you dear. I was feeling feisty on that one :)
ReplyThanks for the kind comment. Yes, only recently have I been strong enough to part ways with false friends barely tolerating me while I adored them. painful but so necessary.
ReplyVery sweet of you to stop and comment. I hope your life is filled with people who appreciate you for the wonderful person I am sure you are :)
ReplyThan you, Sweet Amy. Always wonderful to have you stop by :)
Replyyou are damn right my friend ! I used to have so little confidence in myself that I let people hurt me and forgive them, and only time showed me that I couldn't let that happen.
ReplyAnyway, I hope you are OK though !
hey you changed the name too huh? You have my questions on this one... its such a passionate piece of writing... I gotta wonder and you know me... nosey so I gotta ask....
ReplyHI dear!
ReplyNice post! I enjoyed a lot reading it :)
xoxo
So glad you stopped letting people treat you so badly. Mine is an even more insidious issue, people tolerating me instead of accepting me and calling it friendship. Very addictive and tough to resist but just not settling for it any more. Thanks for being so kind, lovely lady :)
