In bleak night's bitter darkness
Devoid of every star
The bright love of
Day's warming light
Is never truly far.
So soak up every ray of light
That graces you, each one
Store them in an open heart
And share with everyone.
For light hid far away
Makes night for all the Earth
But when you give it
Openly
Your sunrise brings rebirth.
The proof of a sun
Now set
Is the life it leaves behind.
The promise that a sun
Will rise
Is yours alone to find.
