Grapes / Uvas / Uva

Grapes
Grown in abundance
Often left to rot
Upon the ground
Sold at every
Store and market
Just for pennies on the pound

Crushed
And mixed with items
Sweet, sticky juice
Bitter acids
Set to heat
Left to ferment
Now a prized and valued liquid
Filling crystal, shining glasses

What a lesson this can be
To one in the middle of distress
We all start out plain and simple
Then life adds the sweet and bitter
We are often crushed along the way
Feel the heat of expectations
Attempt to rearrange out days
But the plan is not destruction
But adding value to the self
Not to be held in oaken barrels
Or on some cellar shelf
Our vintage has just the value
Of how often it is shared
Each sip we give the world
Shows exactly how we care

So whether you are tart and tangy
Or dry
Fruity, nutty
Complex
Or Earthy bold
Just off the vine
Fresh, ripe
Or aged, so crisp yet oh so old
You are a unique creation
From a recipe ancient and divine
Pop your cork
Allow the people
To taste the balance of your wine

Uvas
Se cultiva en abundancia
A menudo se pudren
En el suelo
Se vende en cada
Tienda y el mercado
Sólo para los peniques en la libra

Aplastada
Y se mezcla con elementos
jugo dulce, pegajoso

Intentar reorganizar a cabo días

Pop tu corcho
Permitir que las personas
Para probar el saldo de su vino

Uva
Cresciuto in abbondanza
Spesso lasciato a marcire
A terra
Venduto ad ogni
Store e mercato
Solo per pochi centesimi sul libbra

schiacciato
E mescolato con elementi
Dolce, succo appiccicoso
acidi amari
Set per riscaldare
Lasciato fermentare
Ora un pregiato e prezioso liquido
Riempire di cristallo, bicchieri brillanti

Che lezione questo può essere
Per uno nel mezzo di angoscia
Noi tutti iniziamo fuori puro e semplice
Mostra esattamente come ci prendiamo cura

Quindi, se siete aspro e piccante
o secco
Fruttato, nocciola
Complesso
O terroso grassetto
Appena fuori dalla vite
Fresco, maturo
O invecchiato, così reattiva e oh così vecchio
Sei una creazione unica
Da una ricetta antica e divina
Pop tua sughero
Lasciare la gente
Per gustare l'equilibrio del vostro vino

So funny, I just published a post where I wrote about grapes and wine. I really like your poem about grapes. Such a beautiful metaphor! Yes, we can compare ourselves with grapes...under pressure we become wine, that divine drink. Wonderful poem, so well written and developed.

Wonderful poem, so well written and oh so true. As I read line by line, the power of the analogy hit. Kudos my friend. I'll probably not look at wine the same again, ha!
