"Mighty" Maggie Lucas - Penn State Lady Lions
Such a firecracker. Confident, strong, fearless and so talented. Maybe just a a little crazy. As close a player to Reggie Miller as I have seen since his retirement. She loves the game and it loves her right back. Next season: WNBA
"Super" Samantha Ostarello - Purdue Lady Boilermakers
Long, graceful arms plus a great sense of timing and a brilliant work ethic combine to form this skilled forward. She regularly provides her team with double doubles and plays that get them out of tights spots. Sam is so much fun to watch from her hustle to her attitude. A truly sweet person and a heck of a player. Next season: ? But hopefully WNBA
"Smooth" Skylar Diggins - Notre Dame Fighting Irish
A great tactician, a mental, tricky, fast and witty player that will outrun and out-think you the minute you take your eyes off her. So effective and dangerous, she is a true leader, and alpha persona, a coach's right hand. Next season: WNBA (Probably Chicago)
Morgan "Magic" Johnson - Iowa Lady Hawkeyes
Morgan is such a joy to watch on the court. She is the heart of her team, providing levity and powerful play in equal doses, whatever the situation calls for. Someone with a true love of life and a passion for the game. She is able to get around people and sometimes right through them for scoring and rebounds and she is just as happy to get another team member the ball for a score as score herself. A true team player and a wonderful young woman. Next season: ? (WNBA I hope)
Jaime "The Blonde Blur" Printy - Iowa Lady Hawkeyes
Like a little blonde missle, Jaime flies about the court with purpose and precision unmatched. She is so intense and talented, gutsy and smart. She will let nothing keep her from that basket and will accept any challenge set before her with grace and strength. Fast, bright, total court vision, precise and just blink-and-you-missed-it amazing. Next season: WNBA

I havent followed women's hoops since my UCONN Days...the days of LOBO...I played on a tournament team for the PT dept. we were called the Cremasters. Our logo was we keep it up...I suspect most will have to google to see how witty that is.
ReplyI wanted to Google it but I got too testy. Saw Bec Lobo kinda close at Fever game last year. She is 90% legs.
ReplyIt is definitely litter box humor... It had been named years before I got there.
ReplyIt would be so lovely to hear from you. I promise to respond either here or on your blog.
