The Early Nerd

Me at 2 and1/2 months (not black and white for dramatic effect :D)

One of my dear followers requested that the subject of my next blog be my early years.  My original plan for this blog was to share the phenomenal solution that came to me in a vision last night that would end world hunger, stop fighting in the middle east and halt global warming.  But that's OK to wait a couple days, right? :)  George Clooney is not returning my calls anyway.  What?  Clooney?  Oh yeah.  You have NO idea how connected that dude is.  Great Pin the Tail on the Donkey player too.

So, yeah, that's little me up there, looking about as clueless as I routinely still do, slightly less tongue.  My hatching, oh humans say birth, my birthing, no wait, its just birth isn't it?  That seems right.  My 'birth' then took place in the state of Maryland, just outside of Washington DC.  In a small, windowless laboratory and strange germen men in lab coats milling about nervously.  No, no, hold it, wait...implanted memory.  I bought a kit a few years back on how to implant your own memories and, boy howdy, you have got to read that warning label CAREFULLY!  Hmmm, new idea why George isn't calling me back.

No, mine was a simple birth, I was of average weight, light labor.  Nothing out of the ordinary except I was slightly less responsive to stimuli than they would have liked.  Don't hate the player hate the stimuli I always say.

My father was a salesmen of electronics, mostly speakers and tape decks, which were all the rage in those days.  My mom stayed at home.  I have zero actual memories of maybe the first 5 years of my life so I can only fill in what I have been told there.  Side note, the reason behind this gap I would not discover until my parents made me go see a therapist in high school because I was not social enough.  He theorized, and I concur, the reason I have no memories is because I never learned how to bond with others as my parents were rampant alcoholics and which led them to being absent and distant so, if you don't bond with people apparently memories are much harder to hold.

We moved a few places due to Dad's work until finally, when I was 5, we moved to Indiana, where I would spend the majority of the rest of my days, at least to this point.  Then, for whatever reason, I do start to have a few spotty memories.  Here are some shots of those days before I continue.

As some of my earlier blogs have run a bit long-ish, I will end this one here with promises to pick back up again next time.  Thank you for reading and for visiting.  Youse guys make-a my day.  And I promise to give all your best to George when he finally rings me up.  Just don't bring up that whole Batman thing.  Really cheeses him off.  TTFN, mah Tiggers.

Well, this is a good start. I see the seeds of strangeness, and they are legitimate. Your room is awesome, tho. And your toys. Your bewildered expression in every photo, whats up with that?

I dont know that many kids have memories before 5ish. Although rampant alcoholics will not help I am sure. You were an adorable bambino!I gotta agree with Therese a little deer in the headlights in the later years. ( those damn flash cameras...my pics are black and white too.)

Perhaps info from the next installment will help illuminate my looks. The Seeds of Strangeness would be a great name for a band.
