Wagging Tails and Winding Trails

Boom Bow Wow

A few shots from the last couple days.  Above, we have a returning favorite, Boomer the Boomerian.  I spent most of Independence Day hanging out with this fine, furry fellow.  He and I were both visitors at the lake house of my ladyfriend's brother.

It is a lovely pad and we spent much time on the deck watching the boats and jet skis fly by.

Dragon Dreams

Boomer was not the only canine present.  Meet All Things Bright and Lovely newcomer Gibbs.  Weighing in a an even 2 pounds  (.90718 KG for those who use the fancy, fun and futuristic metric system), Jingle Gibbs (my nickname for him as his owners had to put a collar with a bell on it to help keep from accidently using him as a mini-football) is friendly, bitey, likes to get his head stuck in footwear and power naps like nobody's business.  And what did 12 year old Boomer think of baby Jingle Gibbs?

Ha, ha, little legs!!!  Neener Neener!!!

Higher ground was his answer for his pesky little shadow.

The day previous, my ladyfriend and I went hiking on a trail that snakes through downtown Indianapolis.  It was originally train tracks but is now a beautiful, paved trail.

The portion of it we handled that day included a cool tunnel.

Don't go into the light, Carol Ann.

And there were sometimes colorful markers on the path.

Ladyfriend just bought those shoes a few weeks back.  They are so cool.

Afterwards I was sore but it was very much worth it to take in all the nature and fresh air and exercise.  It is an extremely long trail (I would tell you how long but I do not have another metric conversion in me tonight) so we are hiking it in bits.

Whoops, ummm, how did that get in there?  Ooh, embarrassing!  The centerfold to my Miss Piggy calendar from 1982.

Hope everyone is doing amazingly well and finding all sorts of things to smile about -- like maybe sunsets, time off and green bikinis :)  Hugs for each of you and love in big bunches :)  Thank you so much for stopping by!  You are all so wonderful!

What an amazing place. That deck looks soooooo relaxing, I don't think I'd have ventured on the trail, just stayed on the deck hahaha. The dogs are just too cute, especially the tiny one. Seems like you had a great time. Now have a great weekend.

Tedy would probably get along with both the other dogs, he seems sweet. You can't fool me, you would be heading for the beach not the deck. And you would like that trail for your jogging. Its lovely. Thank you SO much gorgeous one for coming by :)

Those were my ladyfriend's bright, cool shoes. She looked for those for a while. So wonderful to have you back, sweetie.
