Tome Sweet Tome

Greetings to you, wonderful one, and thanks for visiting All Things Bright and Lovely.  This post I will be featuring some of the books I have kept from my childhood.  Above we have, of course, the tales of sweet Pooh bear.

3 of the classics of young literature.  As I spent so much time alone as a boy, these books became almost as friends to me.

Being sort of awkward and shy, I empathized with Lamont.  This is such a sweet book though.  May do a blog just on it one day.

Encyclopedia Brown was a young sleuth who solved small crimes around his neighborhood.  These books taught me quite a bit about creative thought and deductive reasoning.

4 more of my early favorites.  I believe that last one features a dog that resembles a certain furry boy named Tedy :)

Treasures every one.  Have so many Dr. Seuss books and Curious George I admired so much.  Sweet little monkey making all that trouble :)

This book gave me my first ever awareness of Spain.  And such a lovely, sweet story it is too.  If you have not ever experienced it, you will thank yourself for doing so.

There are so many more but perhaps for another time.  Thank you so much for visiting and for all those amazing comments.  You are so sweet and wonderful to me and make my day again and again :)

i'm sorry for can't come here before. I'm going through difficult times. I hardly have time between work, the blog and some setbacks. I hope that you doesn't bother for this reason. Although I don't comment on always, I am aware of you and your new publications.

I was looking at the books again and I have just realised that Higglety Pigglety Pop certainly does resemble Tedy hahahaha.

What a lovely post. I have many fond memories of childhood stories. I particularly loved the Faraway Tree books.

Your future children will be set up well then. Imagine the fun of introducing the stories you love the most to little Amy Jr. :)
