Make Tracks / Dejar pistas

To those who once entered our lives
To touch them
Only then to leave...

Whether with the wondrous gift
Of warm
Boundless
Love
Or the challenge
Of cold
Pathetic
Hate
Tracks are left
On tender hearts
Like footsteps
In new snow.

Those who brought darkness
Brought memories
None would choose
To recall
And yet
They come
Unbidden
Unwanted
And never
Understandable

Memories of those
Now gone
Who shared our joy
Who caused our joy
Who were our joy
Are cotton candy
Wrapped in the barbed wire
Of loss
Each sweet bite
Tinged
With the sharp pain
Of grief
And yet
Worth every
Difficult
Stinging
Piercing
Bite

Snow will fall and fill steps in
A magical illusion
Wounds look healed on the skin
Just hide the scars
Within.

True healing comes
When you choose
To live
As if
Your heart
Your amazing
Brilliant
Powerful
Dear heart
Bears no blemish
Wears no bruise
Fears no harm

Live in an eternal state
Of passionate yearning
Let tenderness
And compassion
Be the soothing balm
That restores you
And then
Go forth
Making gentle
Generous
Endless
Tracks

A aquellos que una vez entrado en nuestras vidas
Tocarlos
Sólo entonces a dejar...

Si con el maravilloso regalo
De caliente
Sin límites
Amor
O el desafío
Del frío
Patético
Odio
Las pistas se quedan
Corazones tiernos
Como los pasos
En nieve nueva.

Quienes llevaron la oscuridad
Trajo recuerdos
Nadie elegiría
Para recordar
Y sin embargo
Vienen
Espontáneamente
No deseados
Y nunca
Comprensible

Recuerdos de aquellos
Ya
Quien compartió nuestra alegría
¿Quién ha causado nuestra alegría
¿Quiénes eran nuestra alegría
Son de algodón de azúcar
Envuelto en alambre de púas
De la pérdida
Cada bocado dulce
Teñido
Con el dolor agudo
De la pena
Y sin embargo
Vale la pena cada
Difícil
Picadura
Piercing
Mordida

Nieve caerá y rellenar pasos
Una ilusión mágica
Heridas parecen curadas en la piel
Sólo ocultar las cicatrices
Dentro.

Verdadera sanidad viene
Cuando usted elige
Para vivir
Como si
Tu corazón
Su increíble
Brillante
Potente
Querida
Lleva ninguÌ n defecto
No usa ninguna contusión
No teme ningún daño

Vivir en un estado eterno
Anhelo apasionado
Que ternura
Y la compasión
Ser el bálsamo calmante
Eso te devuelve
Y luego
Adelante
Haciendo suave
Generoso
Sin fin
Pistas

I try to write with a certain rhythm that seems to lend itself to a musical style. But so little of my stuff rhymes it would be a pretty bad song :) Thanks so much for your sweet comment, lovely one xoxo

I am sure trying too but feeling a little discouraged about it lately. But I keep trying anyway because I love encouraging amazing, sweet people such as yourself and being even a tiny part in their lives. xoxo :)

You know how sensitive I am. Feel like I might be losing someone I really like and it just kind of stinks. Should focus on the positive and eventually I will. Thanks for the kind words. Muddy Freddy!

Good may not physically manifest itself into something you can see, but you must always trust it is there! My friend is a music therapist and she works with old people in hospitals and days it's hard to see if she's making any difference but she has to trust that she is. I'm always someone that needs reassurance so I do understand though. Thanks for the compliment, I'm a many cow really! :-)

Beautiful and meaningful. I like the one about the grief and memories of those we've lost being cotton candy wrapped in barbed wire.
