Art Warming / Arte calentamiento

Hello!  So happy you stopped by :)  Today we have photos from my trip to the Indianapolis Museum of Art (featured above).  Hope you enjoy!  The first shot is from the gift shop.

¡ Hola!

I had to take a photo of this section as I know there may be a couple of you who like fashion just a little bit :)  They had such a nice selection of fashion items in the shop.

Next we move on to the galleries themselves.  While not a huge museum, this one does have some wonderful artifacts.  You may notice I am not so much a painting fan as a sculpture and statue fan.  Sorry painting fans!

Much in the same way I love all of you so much, I so enjoy seeing art from every corner of the world.  African art especially fascinates me.  That vase in the first photo is just a little shorter than I am.

There was a stunning wing of the museum with art deco and post modern furniture.  Those are fancy terms I vaguely grasp.  My much clearer explanation is they look like something out of Austin Powers living room.  Yeah baby!!!

Arte africano especialmente me fascina.

That slinky chair at the end is super cool but would be a tad chilly in the winter season.  Needs a throw blanket :)

Here are my 2 favorites from the museum.

You can never go wrong with Tiffany glass windows.  This one was a full room size piece and just amazing.  The picture does not do it justice.

And my absolute favorite was this modern work.  I have never seen a better representation of what my thoughts look like than this brilliant sculpture.  A big megaphone swallowed by a thousand random, uncontrolled thoughts.  It very much touched me to see it.

Speaking of me, here I am prior to entering the museum.  The was a stop for cupcakes involved :)

Mucho verlo me conmovió.

And we have come to the end of my little tour.  More shots on my Instagram from it in the next few days.  Thank you for your visit and a special thank you for all the sweet support of my last poem.  Been struggling with some sadness lately and your kindness helped so much.  You are the best, never forget it :)  Hugs of maximum length and warmth to each of you!

I do enjoy photography quite a bit. Always been a dream to be a fashion photog but this is not to be. Been feeling kind of lonely lately. Miss good conversation with bright, loving people who care about me. Has been too long without it. Just makes me quiet. Thank you so much for asking, dear. The kind of encouragement and friendship you provide helps me so much to stay positive. You rock!

Oooh... I love art museums! But I love paintings more than sculptures so boo for me here. I like the way you described the artefacts and wooh... That slinky chair looks like those slinky toys we play last time. Will it just slink and sink when we sit on it? Stained glass are never as awesome as they are real life. I always have problem capturing their magnificence on camera.

Sorry to hear that you're upset too but hey, that makes 2 sad people in the world who tries to be positive and cheering everyone up with humor.

My hands are too shaky to be a professional photographer. I have an essential tremor. Its why my pictures are often a bit blurry. I usually have to take a minimum of 3 to get 1 I like. I have a ladyfriend and we spend much time together but we are are only social life. I have so much love to share and so few who seem to want it. That's when I get sad. Thanks for the sweet words, gorgeous :)

Paintings are so last year :) Going to another art museum, much bigger, this weekend. I will try and suffer through a few canvasi for you :)P

Honestly, with the slinky chair all I could think about were the marks that one would have should the sit in it less than clothed. Like you had been on a griddle.

Yes, dear, we are 2 peas in an international pod. I am even having digestive distress in your honor tonight. Thanks so much for your lovely comment!
