Fragile

Fragile
Handle with care
A label
Only the most honest
Wear openly
A label
Which applies
To one and all

A blessing
To feel so much
Turned curse
When feelings misplaced
A lesson
We share as a species
A message
Our hearts won't erase

Remember the joy
Do not hide from your pain
There is great value in both
Bright sunshine
Cold rain

Frágil
Manéjese con cuidado
Una etiqueta
Sólo el más honesto
Usar abiertamente
Una etiqueta
Que se aplica
A todos y cada uno

Una bendición
Sentir tanto
Maldición dada vuelta
Cuando extravían sentimientos
Una lección
Compartimos como especie
Un mensaje
Nuestros corazones no borrará

Recuerda la alegría
No te escondas de tu dolor
Hay gran valor en ambos
Sol brillante
Lluvia fría

Hey Shamu, beautiful words ! However I have to admit that I came just to thank you, because I have received my yearly report and you are my number ONE most faithfull reader... Despite the fact that I haven't translated for months (This is one of my resolutions for 2015... back to translations !). Anyway this is very nice of you : thanks !

Beautiful words and pictures! Have a very wonderful New Year, Shamu! Thank you for such a beautiful comment on my blog. I totally get what you are saying, even though I tend to be more sceptical when it comes to spirits and magic... but, yes, there is something that tells me that just because I don't know it doesn't mean it doesn't exist..

what a beautiful poem! I completely agree with you...to be strong we must also be fragile because we must not hide from the pain if we want to experience genuine joy. Happiness cannot be bought, it comes on its own....and we must keep our hearts open for it to find us.
lovely photo of coloured glass, appropriate for this text.

Hello Rick. I've not been here or any other blog for a long time. What a fragile post on a New Year's day. I hope you have been keeping well and may 2015 be a fabulous year!

The conclusion of this beautiful poem puts me in mind of the title of one if my favourite books 'The right attitude to rain" in which our heroine philosophises for a moment over that very point. Ha, that very book title caused my husband and I (before we were dating) to sit together in the pouring rain in an orchard chatting! You made me smile and remember, thank you.
