Borrowed by this Place / Prestado por este Lugar

My soul was old
Before the cosmos
Heaved it first deep breath

I am lent to this time
Borrowed by this place
For but a fleeting moment
My purpose begins to unfold
So much to do
Before my next rest

A view originating in eternity
A perspective
Hidden far too long
Beneath deep regret
A voice to shake the world
But much softer than the rest
New wings that make me brave to fly
Leave behind my secluded nest

The Earth
From far above
A frustrating and beautiful place
Resisting golden love and peace
So close within our reach

I have walked battlefields
Both visible and held within
Seen brutal wounds
Hidden too deep
For most eyes to see
Held my hand to their slumped shoulder
Felt their warm tears on mine
Never once did I lie
When I told them
That one day
It would all be fine
The old saying is still true today
The best medicine is time

Mi alma estaba viejo
Antes del cosmos
La arrojó primera respiración profunda

Me presté a esta hora
Prestado por este lugar
Por sólo un momento fugaz
Mi propósito comienza a desarrollarse
Hay tanto que hacer
Antes de que mi siguiente descanso

Una vista originario de la eternidad
Una perspectiva
Ocultos demasiado tiempo

Tan cerca a nuestro alcance

He caminado campos de batalla
Tanto visible y celebrarse dentro
Heridas brutales vistos
Ocultos demasiado profundo

Very deep-thoughtful poem. And sad again. You seem such a cheerful person but your poems are often sad.

...a voice to shake the world, but much soften than the rest...

Now it was these lines that fascinated me...interesting how when I read one of your poems again, I always notice something else....a sign of really good poetry.
