Hello, and welcome to All Things Bright and Lovely 2014. To begin the year, I am featuring some recent shots from my Instagram account as it has been a while since I have done so. Hope you enjoy :)
Today I am trapped in my house by a large quantity of snow. Happily enough, I had the day off already and had no plans to do anything but be here. I love snow! That is my backyard.
Food, food and more food :) Had another one of the Chicago style deep-dish pizzas for New Year's Eve. The middle shot is a pastichio, like a Greek lasagna. And the bottom comes with its own sign. Handy!
Some words of wisdom to wash down all that lovely food. Technically the first one is more of a fashion item, but there is no greater wisdom than love so there you go. I was so happy with how the middle picture did on IG and my Tumblr too. I captioned it with "I love truly original people" and that is certainly the case :)
A few interesting items. The first and second both found at Bed, Bath and Beyond. That shiny urn in the 2nd picture was actually all silver but I fixed it up a bit with the IG filters to improve it. It actually got a "like" from Bed, Bath and Beyond so maybe coming soon to a store near you :)
Picture 3 is my record player and #4 is my lady friend's Mickey Mouse ice cube trays. They are very cute but the ears pop off very often when removing them from the tray. So it is a little grisly for younger kids maybe :)
Oh, hai. Just me out shopping with lady friend on New Year's Day. She bought this coat just a few minutes later. It is found at Eddie Bauer and she paid about $80 dollars for it. I am wearing one of my Christmas gifts and got several compliments on it at the outlet mall that day.
It has been so wonderful to read and see all your activities from New Year's. Glad everyone made it through and had a great time. Let's do it again next year :) Thanks so much for stopping by. Hugs all around!
¿Hai.

ReplyI bet you really enjoy the snow, in small doses anyway :) You are a true beach baby :) Thanks for coming by, Sweet Amy!
ReplyOur snow right now is at about a half foot I think and 6-12 more inches coming Sunday. Love it! As for the name, I am planning on telling everyone except you and seeing if it trickles down. it is a little experiment. Actually, now that you remind scattered me about it, that might be a nice blog topic. pretty boring but I suppose maybe a few others are wondering about the origin, Oooh, coming soon dot dot dot
