Veils swirl
At the center of the room
Finger cymbals clang
Disrupting focus
A face hidden but for large brown eyes
Shining bright, yet curious, promising
A stomach
Undulating
With precision and purpose
Alluring, beckoning
Distracting
Return to reality
Remember the mission
But first
Precious water so long denied
Bartender shoots a quizzical look
Farsi foggy from fatigue
Finally found
Leave the pitcher
Bring two more
Target still half a nation away
Tell myself
Keep moving
Stay invisible
Notice that the music has stopped
Dancer sitting beside me
Dedication takes the night off
Primero los hombros
A través de la puerta
Un ojo adelante
Uno guarda el pórtico

Clang platillos de dedo

Distracción
Volver a la realidad
Recuerda la misión
Pero primero
Agua preciosa tanto tiempo negada
Camarero dispara una mirada burlona
Farsi brumoso de la fatiga
Finalmente encontró
Deja la jarra
Traer dos más
Objetivo aún medio una nación.
Digo a mí mismo
Sigue moviéndote
Permanecer invisibles
