The Ascot Jungle

Ascots make me happy apparently.

Happy greetings to you all and its great to have you.  I am back at last after my computer crashed on me turning me into a techno-Amish.  Glad I was able to keep up with some of you in the mean time, but I was really wanting to get this post up.  That dotted, scarf looking thing you see around my neck is an ascot.  It was a gift from one of my very kind followers and I was quite excited to get it.  And even after I found out it made me look like Paul Lynde from Bewitched I was still pretty excited.

Previously, the only ascot wearer I knew of was Fred from Scoobie Doo, and he wears his differently than the video my kind follower emailed me from YouTube on how to affect such an item of apparel.  So, hopefully, my newfangled use of a classic piece of menswear is not off-putting to anyone.
Hardly ever looked more like my mother, who never wore ascots.

My kind follower has her own quite amazing blog that I highly recommend.  She is a gifted writer and has had and continues to have an amazing life.  Her work is touching, funny and very well-crafted.  You can find her here.  I call her Peebs as her life seems like it is set in a PBS mini-series.

Macho, manly pink polka dots.

Really liked the style she chose for me.  Was fairly easy to fix up as well.

The J.C. Penny catalog pose.

My ladyfriend was nice enough to take these next 2 for me at her home.  She's super swell like that.

Swank and Swagger!  Boo yah!

And, to close out our photo journey for today, 3 more new looks from me.
Bought this for the color.  Only time I was in Brooklyn I made a quick U-Turn to get back to Manhattan.

Ladies and Gentleman -- Sporty Spice

I'm bringing Buddy back.

There we are, as promised and promoted last blog, my second ever outfit post.  So happy that you chose to join me here and check these shots out.  Still really difficult for me to look at them long enough to post them and still want to, but doing it anyway.  You were all so great last time it really encouraged me to do it again.

Oh, and to my last post, what a lovely bunch of coconuts you all are.  Such wonderful, thoughtful, edifying words and they mean so much to me.  And I looked again at that pic of the fellow out on the ledge alone and I realized it looked much sadder than I intended.  Its true I am out there alone, but look what's in front of me, all around me:  nothing but stunning and amazing beauty.  And that's what I do see when I look around me, at my life, at you folks, everywhere.  I have no desire to come in off the ledge, I am just looking for more people to sit with me and appreciate the view.  Certainly you wonderful people are doing just that so THANKS!!!

OH Fred, Keep that woman. If she can take a photo of her guy in an ascot (and keep a steady camera while laughing her head off) she is definitely a keeper. Too bad ya torched the pepto jacket...although bare feet and an ascot is a real statement all on its own. Thanks so much for the kind words. You too are a keeper. Peebs

Don't forget the ascot was a bribe...THanks again for getting rid of the Captcha!

You are very welcome and thank your SWF/Peebs. I think she was more concerned than amused but she did it anyway.

Love the ascot, and you wear it well!! What a lovely gesture from a fellow blogger. Will certainly check out her blog. Great to see smiley photos of you showing off your outfits.
Reallly sorry for not coming by sooner, but am still unpacking the 9 cases that arrived with me from Munich and barely have a spare minute. Hope to be totally organized over the next few days.
