On our faces brave smiles

Shedding every worry as we go
Hear them thud softly in the brilliant snow
Every step we grow lighter, faster
No more thinking of disaster
Now only air beneath our feet
A leap of faith at once complete
Twirling, swirling in the sky
Knowing what it is to fly
Knowing that upon our landing
We will both be surely standing
Elated that out strong persistence
Has carried us far past
Our once full distance.
